Hans-Christian Jaenicke

Hans-Christian Jaenicke - Duo Diagonalwas born in 1969 in Treuenbrietzen (Germany), started to play the violin at the age of six. By the age of nine he joined classes in musical theory. After his studies (1991-96) he graduated in several master classes and performed as soloist and concertmaster with various orchestras and chamber music-ensembles in Germany and abroad.

Besides his work as a studio musician and violin-teacher he joined with the accordion player Jörg Siegloch in 1996 to perform as Duo Diagonal. Jaenicke plays an Austrian instrument made by Joh. Georgius Leeb, 1827.

 

 

Jörg Siegloch
Jörg Siegloch - Duo Diagonalwas born in 1961 in Chkolovsk (Tajikistan) as Russian of German origin. He learned to play the piano and the trumpet and was director of music in Khabarovsk. In his following studies he learned to play the accordion, which became his main instrument.

In 1989 he came to Germany, where he started to teach accordion and performed with various orchestras. His studies of the French way of accordion-playing and of the bandoneon finds its expression in the music, which he performs since 1996 together with Hans-Christian Jaenicke as Duo Diagonal. Jörg Siegloch plays an Italian accordeon made by Pigini.
